  3. Know how to comfortably pronounce the schwa.
  4. Recognize some of the possible spellings of the /a/ and /ae/ sounds.

An schwa story

Jason and Allison are the adult children of Michael and Alice Johnson. They grew up in Chicago, Illinois and lived with their parents until university. After college Jason went to Asia to teach English. He taught in Japan, China, and Korea for seven years. Allison moved to North Carolina and worked as a biologist for the government.

Next summer Jason, Allison, and their parents, Michael and Alice, and planning a holiday to Alaska. They will be arriving on the eleventh of August and staying until around the twenty-second. They hope to see a lot of native animals of the region and bring back wonderful knowledge and appreciation for the area.
